1 16 - 17The individual traits of a person, his character are largely determined by the blood group. It can be used to judge the characteristics of the nervous system, digestive tract, possible diseases. The second group arose with the advent of agriculture, which left a certain imprint.

History of blood groups

According to the theory of the Polish researcher Ludwig Hirszfeld, primitive people were characterized only by the 1st blood group, and their digestive system was adapted to digest the main available product – meat.

Over time, the population grew, hunting could no longer feed everyone, and humanity began to include more plant foods in its diet. As a result, 20-25 thousand years ago, the first “vegetarians” – farmers with a mutated blood composition – representatives of group A (2nd) appeared.

The changes coincided with the settlement of the Eurasian continent and mass migration to its European part, which is still dominated by people with the second group. A person has learned to live in society, to communicate with others, to establish strong ties. The level of aggressiveness was significantly reduced, and to achieve the goal, different qualities were now required: resourcefulness, dexterity, ingenuity, diplomacy and even cunning.

Much later, about 5-10 thousand years ago, the 3rd blood group arose, and its “homeland” is the territory of India and Pakistan. Quite “young”, only a few thousand years old, 4th group.

AB0 system

They tried to make blood transfusions back in the 18th century, but not every experiment ended successfully. Only at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Karl Landsteiner, a scientist from Austria, noticed the presence of special substances (antigens) in erythrocytes, which he designated with the letters A and B.

Based on the discovery, three blood groups were identified:

  • 0 (I, that is, the first) is characterized by the absence of antigens A and B,
  • A (II) – with A antigen,
  • B (III) – the presence of B-antigen.

The fourth group (AB, IV) was discovered a few years later, when Landsteiner’s students identified erythrocytes containing both antigens A and B.

The discovery made it possible to save the lives of millions of people and not to act blindly during transfusion (see Table 1).

2 16 - 21Also important for blood transfusion and for a woman during pregnancy is the Rh factor. If a person has the second group and Rh is positive (characteristic for 85% of Europeans), then he should be transfused with blood with the same indicators, if Rh is negative, then the donor should have Rh−. In emergency cases, the first Rh negative blood is allowed.

The very 2nd group with Rh +, in addition to a similar one, approaches the positive 4th (the fourth group is also called the universal recipient).

Compatibility in women and men is important, not only by blood, but also by factor. During pregnancy, a Rh-conflict can occur if the mother has this indicator is negative, and the fetus inherits a positive Rh from the father. Then the female body will perceive the child as an alien object, throwing all its strength into eliminating the threat.

Ideally, if the fetus receives a negative rhesus from the mother, but it is almost impossible to calculate (see table. 2).

The child will inherit the second group if one of the parents is a carrier of the A antigen. The following combinations are possible:

  • 3 14 - 25second and fourth (A2 + AB4),
  • second and first (A + 0),
  • second and third (A + B),
  • fourth and first (AB + 0),
  • fourth and third (AB + B).

The combination of the first and the third will never give the second blood group – this factor is often taken into account in the forensic examination to establish paternity or motherhood.

What does blood type mean for health?

Owners of the second group should pay attention to the work:

  • The digestive organs. There can be gastritis, pancreatitis (with low acidity), cholecystitis.

  • The circulatory system. Predisposition to acute leukemia.
  • Thyroid glands – violations of its functions are often observed.
  • Genitourinary system (urolithiasis).

Also, people of this type are prone to catch food infections, smallpox, they are prone to dental diseases.

Since such people are predisposed to vegetarianism, the basis of the diet should be fruits, vegetables, grains. It is better to eat them fresh, without heat treatment, however, you should not get too carried away with a raw food diet.
