The main active ingredient in Eufillin tablets is aminophylline in a dosage of 150 mg. Chemically, this substance is a salt of theophylline. The addition of an amino group made it possible to use the drug in oral form, increasing its solubility and absorption level.
In the ampoule solution, the main active ingredient is theophylline itself, which is a xanthine derivative. 1 ml of the solution contains 20 mg of theophylline. The mechanism of action is based on the blocking of adenosine receptors, a decrease in the concentration of intracellular calcium and an increase in cAMP.
