The main active component of Atoris is atorvastatin. It is proved that this compound acts on the body as follows:

  • contributes to a drop in the level of low density lipoproteins in blood plasma;
  • reduces the risk of developing atherosclerosis by suppressing the synthesis of isoprenoids (organic compounds that provoke an increase in the thickness of the inner lining of blood vessels);
  • interferes with platelet aggregation;
  • reduces the viscosity of blood plasma;
  • blocks macrophage activation, preventing rupture of atherosclerotic plaques;
  • reduces the likelihood of ischemic complications.

Along with atorvastatin, Atoris includes a complex of auxiliary components. Among them are sodium lauryl sulfate, lactose monohydrate, povidone, calcium carbonate, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. The tablet shell is made of titanium dioxide, talc, polyvinyl alcohol and macrogol 3000.

With alcohol

Ethanol disrupts the functions of the heart, liver, so it is important to completely exclude the interaction of the drug with alcohol (especially when treated with a drug in the form of a solution). Ateroclefitis and alcohol, if compatible, can cause negative consequences for the body and lead to a significant decrease in the effectiveness of the therapy for atherosclerosis.

The analogs of the drug are not produced in composition (Russian cheap or imported). It is possible to replace Ateroklefit with Russian or foreign analogues by the action and influence on the development of atherosclerosis in the body. The following drugs are listed as synonyms:

  • Atorvastatin-based products (Atocor, Atoris, Lipicard, Liprimar, Torvakard, Tulip, Storvas, etc.) in tablets;
  • funds based on Simvastatin (Vasilip, Zokor, Simgal, etc.);
  • funds based on Rosuvastatin (Krestor, Rovamed, Roxer);
  • medicines based on fluvastatin (Leskol);
  • medicines based on Pitavastatin (Livazo);
  • funds based on Pravastatin (Pravapres, Lipostat);
  • medicines based on Lovastatin (Lovagexal, Liprox, etc.).

These drugs have a difference in the fact that they are registered as pharmaceuticals, have a chemical composition, and can only be used as prescribed by doctors, including for more serious stages of atherosclerosis and cardiac pathologies.

Dosing and Administration

Inside, 1 time a day in the evening, drinking plenty of water. The dose of Simgal is from 5 to 80 mg/day. Dose changes, if necessary, should be done at intervals of at least 4 weeks. A dose of 80 mg/day is recommended for use only to patients who have not achieved the desired result in LDL concentration when taking a dose of 40 mg and to patients taking diltiazem simultaneously with Simgal.

The maximum dose should not exceed 40 mg/day in the evening and is recommended only in case of severe hyperlipidemia and in patients with a high risk of cardiovascular disease.

Primary hyperlipidemia (type IIa according to the classification of Fredrickson) or mixed hyperlipidemia (type IIb according to the classification of Fredrickson). Before treatment, the patient should be prescribed a hypocholesterol diet, which should be followed during the entire course of treatment with simvastatin. The initial dose is 10–20 mg/day.

Hereditary homozygous hyperlipidemia. The recommended dose is 40 mg/day once in the evening or 80 mg/day, divided into 3 doses (20 mg in the morning, 20 mg in the afternoon and 40 mg in the evening). A dose of 80 mg is recommended only if the intended benefits of the therapy outweigh the possible risk. The drug Simgal should be used as a supplement or in case of ineffectiveness of lipid-lowering treatment.

Coronary heart disease

The recommended dose of Simgal is 20–40 mg/day once in the evening in patients with coronary artery disease with or without hyperlipidemia. If the LDL content is not less than 75 mg/dl (1,94 mmol/L), and the total cholesterol content is less than 140 mg/dl (3,6 mmol/L), the dose should be reduced. Simgal therapy can be started simultaneously with diet and increased physical activity. With insufficient effectiveness, the dose is adjusted, but not earlier than after 4 weeks.

Simgal is effective both in monotherapy and in combination with bile acid sequestrants. Simgal should be taken 2 hours before or 4 hours after taking bile acid sequestrants.

When taking cyclosporine, danazole, gemfibrozil, other fibrates (except fenofibrate) or lipid-lowering doses (at least 1 g/day) of nicotinic acid simultaneously with Simgal, the dose of Simgal should not exceed 10 mg/day.

With the simultaneous administration of Simgal and amiodarone or verapamil, the dose of Simgal should not exceed 20 mg/day.

For patients taking diltiazem, the daily dose of Simgal should not exceed 40 mg.

For patients taking amlodipine, the daily dose of Simgal should not exceed 40 mg.

With the simultaneous use of ranolazine and Simgal, the concentration of simvastatin in the blood plasma increases.

Dosage adjustment of the drug Simgal with mild to moderate renal failure is not required. In severe renal failure (Cl creatinine lt; 30 ml/min) the daily dose should not exceed 10 mg, close monitoring of the patient’s condition during treatment is also necessary.

!  Spinal cord myelopathy (spinal) - types, symptoms, treatment

In elderly patients, dose adjustment is not required.

special instructions

Barter pressure is not used in children. Women of childbearing age should use more reliable contraceptives while taking the medicine.

It should regularly determine the activity of liver enzymes during the use of atheroclit. It is important to visit the doctor who treats the patient at least once a month.

The cost of atheroclefitis is different:

  • tea bags No. 20 cost from 152 rubles;
  • kissel sachet No. 10 – from 221 rubles .;
  • BIO capsules No. 30 – from 245 rubles .;
  • 100 ml solution – from 270 rubles.

Timur Tsokolenko, cardiologist: BA Arterial pressure I often use atheroclephitis in my practice as an addition to the main therapy. Very pleased with the safety of the medicine, the natural composition and high efficiency. More often I prescribe a solution 3 times a day inside (before lunch, at lunch and after dinner) in a dosage of 1 teaspoon. A course of 3 months helps to gently cleanse blood vessels of lipids.

Natalia Ivanchenko, cardiologist: Among other dietary supplements, Atheroclefitis is much more effective for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis. Despite the fact that this supplement can be replaced with domestic counterparts (some are cheaper), I do this extremely rarely, because I am confident in the effectiveness of this particular tool.

Alla P .: after applying 2 months of Ateroklefit in the form of a solution, I felt much better. The heart hurts less, blood tests showed that cholesterol levels decreased. I will continue to take the medicine, very pleased with the effectiveness.

Igor K .: active ingredients in the preparation are medicinal plants. I really like Ateroklefit, because after using it, my blood counts (fats, cholesterol) noticeably improve. Unlike chemical drugs, it does not cause side effects.

General description of the preparation

Atoris (Latin name – Atoris) is produced by the Slovenian pharmaceutical company KRKA. The drug is a biconvex rounded tablet, coated with a white film membrane. Each of them contains 10, 20, 30, 40, 60 or 80 mg of active ingredient. Tablets are packaged in 10 pcs. in blisters made of PVC and aluminum foil.

Atoris treatment regimen

The main indication for the use of Atoris is hypercholesterolemia. In addition, the drug is prescribed:

  • in the treatment of primary hyperlipidemia (including mixed forms of type 2a and 2b disease according to the classification of Fredrickson), resistant to diet therapy of familial endogenous hypertriglyceridemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia;
  • for the purpose of primary or secondary prevention of cardiac diseases in patients with diagnosed coronary heart disease or in patients at risk for the development of pathology.

If necessary, it is gradually increased to 80 mg per day. The duration of the appointment is determined by the doctor. When compiling a prescription, it takes into account the nature of the pathology, age and general condition of the patient.
